ABOUT

Long walks down single file paths surrounded by brambles and mud are where I grew up.

At school it wasn't Art but Maths and academic subjects that I excelled in. It wasnt until 16, at college, that I started to learn how to paint. Using embroidery and watercolour as mediums I started to explore nature on paper and fabric and found it facinating.

At University I developed skills in screen printing which allowed my drawings to become lengths of fabric, with a depth and aesthetic that paper can rarely achieve. In the final year I have explored ways of translating watercolour paintings into the most detailed tonal fabrics using halftone screen seperations.

These artisanal skills are what I thrive from, the imperfections, the faded colours and vintage traditional feel you can get with this combination of skills. My goal is to combine hand craft with recycled materials to create one of a kind reclaimed pieces.
